Anna Bahrii was left orphaned at 12 when the rest of her family died: the Bahrii family consisted of her parents and a brother and the Burdeini family consisted of her sister, the sister’s husband and daughter. She promises to donate her entire pension, 74 rubles, to a memorial for victims of the Holodomor.
