Yevdokiia Slobodianiuk was 8 at the time of the Famine. Their family lived by the cemetery and she witnessed people buried in mass graves, up to 10 bodies in one. Her family survived because her mother, father and 10-year old brother worked in the collective farm field for the ration of some cooked soy.
