Description
A large number of families and individuals are seen standing, sleeping and otherwise waiting with their belongings across a large area near the train station. The family in the foreground - father, mother and child - appear fast asleep amid the rubble of construction nearby. Photography near train stations was expressly forbidden and Abbe was arrested for taking this photo. Fortunately, he was able to contrive a way to save the negatives.
