Police report six men had been hired to demolish the building and when a joist in the building was removed, the roof collapsed, trapping the man underneath debris for several minutes until other workers rescued him. The man was airlifted to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre with fractures to his hip and ribs and facial injuries.The Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident. ··· Halton Police report nine bottles of liquor valued at $450 were taken from the Georgetown LCBO store on Guelph St. at approximately 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.
