Although the Raiders outplayed and outchanced the visitors, Uxbridge scored late in the first overtime period to win the OMHA title 3-2. Georgetown opened the scoring early in the first period in front of about 400 spectators at Mold-Masters SportsPlex, but Uxbridge struck back with two quick goals in the middle frame. Ben Nicolucci's third-period marker for Georgetown sent the thrilling contest into extra time and the Raiders had glorious opportunities to win it, including a penalty shot, but the clinching goal for Uxbridge came after a goal-mouth scramble just before a second overtime would have been required. Uxbridge will now play in Timmins next week at the OHF's Tournament of Champions.
