Hornby group holds community clean up day April 22 Don't forget that the opportunity for you to help clean up Hornby and surrounding areas, and enjoy a sumptuous free barbecue, is fast approaching! H.A.R.P. (Hornby Area Rate Payers) sponsors Clean-Up Hornby Day on Saturday, April 22. Meet at 9 a.m. in the Hornby Park car park. Come out, enjoy yourselves, meet friends and neighbours and help keep our community clean! Don't forget to wear your older clothes and stout/waterproof footwear, and please bring along any safety vests you may have lying around and a stick with a nail in it for effortless litter picking! Gloves and collection bags will be provided. · Free barbecue commences at noon in the park. Everyone invited! · Students helping with the clean up will qualify for the required school `Community Service' time-- bring your student friends along! · Your choice - you decide which area you'd like to clean up, or H.A.R.P. will assign you a section. · The day goes ahead unless it's raining hard, in which case the day is postponed to the following Saturday, April 29.
