Truck, car collide No one was injured in an accident at Ontario St. and Main St. N. at approximately 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Halton Police report the 18-year-old male driver of a Toyota Tercel pulled out from Ontario St. eastbound onto Main St. and was struck from behind by a dump truck driven by a 60-year-old Acton man, who police said did not have sufficient time to brake. The Tercel was forced over to the curb and rolled over. The 18-year-old, from Georgetown, was charged with making an unsafe turn. Photo by Ted Brown GDHS break-in Approximately $700 worth of damage was caused to the woodshop door at Georgetown District High School when someone attempted to pry it open over the weekend. Entry was gained to a gated compound to gain access to the door. The attempted break-in through the woodshop door was unsuccessful. Cigarette ignites fire A discarded cigarette was the cause of a large grass fire at Sixth Line, Acton home that spread to a neighbour's lawn Monday afternoon. Car stolen Halton Police report a 1993 Honda Civic valued at $4,500 was stolen from in front of Queen's Tire on Queen St. E. in Acton sometime Saturday afternoon last week.
