Submitted photo Triple play sparks Eagles' victory A rare triple play was pulled off by Georgetown's Lions Club Minor Bantam Eagles baseball team in their recent 9-5 triumph over host Acton Home Hardware. In the bottom of the first inning, with Acton runners on first and second base with none out, Georgetown pitcher Braden Slessor snagged a line drive up the middle, immediately throwing to second baseman Matthew Gallagher for the next out and then the feat was completed with a toss back to Neil McKenzie at first to catch the runner off base there as well. Major Bantam AAA William Cook pitched five innings and allowed just four hits as the Georgetown Sundawn Integrated Systems Eagles handed Mississauga their first loss of the season. Georgetown 4, Mississauga 1: Cook (W, 2 for 3); Brad Dilks (S); Reshad Nazeer, Marcus Rees, Kyle Hansen (defensive MVPs).
