Georgetown Seniors Centre's dues are now due FLORENCE RIEHL Georgetown Seniors Centre Who needs Florida? It has come to visit us with this unbelievably mild, almost balmy, weather. The optimist in us hopes it lasts until April. On the other hand, the pessimist in us says we are going to pay for this. Oh, well! Let's just enjoy it while it lasts. Christmas feeling was evident everywhere in the Centre on Tuesday, December 12th for the fantastic dinner catered to by Bruce Cunnington. It was a sold-out crowd. Entertainment by our own band added to the festivities. Once more St. Alban's Anglican Church in the Glen invites all who are alone to share Christmas dinner on Christmas Day with them. The invitation is extended to people alone or just lonely, couples or families who want to be a part of a large family gathering. Dinner will be served at 1 p.m. Please call 905-877-8323 and leave a message for a no cost reservation. If you wish to join any of the paid programs in the New Year, your payment is now due. Along with that a reminder that our 2007 membership fees of $25 are also due. Both can be paid at the front desk. Centre closures for the holiday are from 12 noon on Friday, December 22nd and will remain closed through to Tuesday, December 26th. The Centre will re-open for drop-in activities on December 27, 28, and 29. The Centre will be closed Monday, January 1st and return to regular activities on Tuesday, January 2nd. To all my readers MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR. See you in January, 2007.
