Wards 3&4 Regional Councillor Jane Fogal was elected as chair of the Administration and Finance committee, after serving as vicechair in the previous term. During her one-year tenure, Fogal expects the committee will be tackling important issues such as renegotiating with the province the cost of services and setting new development charges. Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette has been elected vicechair of Planning and Public Works committee, a position he's held many times before in his longtime service at the region. Wards 1&2 Regional Councillor Clark Somerville has been elected vice-chair of the Health and Social Services committee. Bonnette says this is first time that all three Halton Hills' regional reps are serving in a leadership capacity at the same time.
