Volunteers are needed to pick up meals in Milton and to deliver lunchtime meals in the Acton area. The time commitment would be between one and two hours either once a week or alternating weeks. Mileage is reimbursed and vacation time is respected! The Telephone Assurance Program matches volunteers with seniors who would like a friendly visit through phone conversation. Volunteers are needed to brighten someone's day with daily or weekly phone calls. These programs help to develop speech in a variety of group activities including crafts, games, science and more. Senior Kindergarten to Grade 2. Rhymes, Rhythms and Sounds: The focus of this program is phonemic awareness , the ability to understand how language works. Activities will focus on the development of early literacy skills, including identifying sounds in words, producing rhyming word families and manipulating sounds to change words. Junior and Senior Kindergarten aged children. Parents F.E.E.L. (Facilitating Early Expressive Language) This intensive 4 session program has been developed for parents & their preschool-aged children with expressive language difficulties.
