14 Acton/Georgetown, Friday, June 8, 2007 Funds matched A group of local women who are going to walk in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer in Toronto in September raised $1,500 by decorating Easter eggs at the Wal-Mart in Georgetown Market Place and that total was matched by the store. Presenting the women with cheques are Wal-Mart's fun and charity committee chairperson Agnes Jackman (left) and assistant store manager Gloria Harris. Each of the women must raise at least $2,000 to enter the 60-km walk, which has received such a good response that it has closed registration to participants. Walkers (second from left) are: Mary Hitchcock, fundraising manager Kim Sullivan, Roberta Kent, Suzanne White, Julie Jodouin.
