Margaret Willis (left) and Tony Smyth were this year's award recipients in honour of their commitment to promoting respect for all human beings from conception to natural death within the community of Georgetown, particularly through their efforts to promote the annual Life Chain Sunday in October. You could feel their arrival, so full of lusciousness, all through the long Spring days that stretched to the point of never ending. What could be more pleasant than relaxing on a sunny patio, soaking in the distinct scenery and mild weather, while sipping a drink or enjoying a delicious meal? Marvels are often close at hand. It is not always necessary to go very far to enjoy yourself. Every region has something to help you forget your daily stresses: the opportunity to partake in gastronomical delights on a sunny patio, and so close to home. Some people enjoy relaxing by themselves, with a nice cup of hot chocolate and a newspaper; some cannot resist spending a Friday afternoon with their friends from work; while others are waiting anxiously for the patios to open, as, even in February, they can already imagine themselves sipping their favourite drink while spending an evening with friends. The pleasures of a patio are a true summer blessing, and there is no need to wait for the evening to enjoy it. As the warm season arrives, why not pass on the office cafeteria and head out to discover the coffee patios! You will not only be reenergized, you will also fill up on sunshine for a beautiful finish to your workday. A symbol of romance, a patio is the ideal place for a romantic rendezvous or a first date. The intimate ambiance may push you into making grand declarations, who knows? In short, whether it is to have a meal, just for a drink, for a special date, to celebrate, or simply to enjoy the warm summer sunshine, every patio has its own particular niche that is just waiting to be discovered. There is a patio waiting for you! Sunday, June 24, 2007 Worship - 8:00, 9:30 & 11:15 am Childcare - 9:30 am & 11:15 am REV. DR. Kobie DuCOOPER Rev.
