Photo by Andrew Key Local car makeover reality show in the works Northside Automotive Performance is hoping to embark on the world of reality TV. Looking to put Georgetown on the map, Graham Ovenden, owner of Northside, has enlisted the help of WIDEawake/Universal Music Group Canada CEO Lara Lavi and his friend and video producer Alex Colthart, of Raw Footage Productions, to produce a car makeover reality show with a twist. "Our show will of course show the whole makeover of a car into an amazing, basically new, cool car, but we wanted to do a show that reflected the heart of Georgetown people," said Ovenden. The show will feature a car makeover but the difference is the show's producers intend to contact a charitable organization, find a family in need with a driving age teenager who is ill and may have special needs, and modify a car to help the family out. The producers will also find out who the teen's favourite band or solo artist is and have that artist or group featured on the show. Northside is primarily a custom or speed shop specializing in imports, muscle cars, hot rods, low riders and trucks. Northside hopes to get the thumbs up from MTV Canada and the Speed Network.
