Trashmore' gone CYNTHIA GAMBLE Staff Writer Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette is hoping that the growing `Mt. Trashmore' on 10 Sideroad, east of Mountainview Rd., will be gone by this weekend. The mayor questioned new Director of Engineering Chris Mills how long before the growing trash pile will remain on the site, slated for future development. "Garbage tends to attract garbage," Bonnette said, explaining the pile seemed to have started with the developer, but more residential garbage has been added. Mills said the developer had already been notified last week to clean up the garbage and a timetable will be set at a site meeting this week. He expected it to be done by the weekend. He added the developer was directed to install temporary fencing to limit the amount of garbage dropped in the future. If the mess isn't cleaned up within the set time, town staff will do it and bill the developer. "It's a hideous pile," said Bonnette. "It's disgusting when you drive by and look at this Mount Trashmore. ... Be very stern that we want them to clean that up." $ 235000 ·Great Charcoal Taste ·Porcelain Finish ·10 Year Warranty DON'T PAY TILL NOV./07* $ Starting at 14900 · · · · Cast Iron Cooking Grills 84,000 BTUs Stainless Steel Shelf Natural Gas or Propane $ Starting at 34900 SERVICE All Broil King BBQ's ON SALE FULL PARTS AND *See store for details.
