Neil Cotton & Hawk's Nest is a veteran-performing group from Georgetown. The genres of music played include old and new country and roots rock `n roll. A songwriting/recording highlight is Neil's tribute to Ronnie Hawkins called, Mayor of Old Yonge Street. It was on radio, and Neil performed it live on CHTV in 2002. Neil has also, for this special occasion, written the Homecoming song, Georgetown Will Always Be Home. The band members for Homecoming 2007 will be:Joey Ace (pedal-steel guitar), Neil Cotton (lead vocals and guitar), John Cox (bass), Gary Creary (lead guitar), Robert Porter (drums). Stephen Hurley, on keyboards, brings 30 years of music experience to the stage. George Stigger and Jack Pignatell, both lifetime residents of Georgetown played together as teenagers in the 60's. Doug Hastings, also born and raised in Georgetown, has had 20 years of drumming on the road and is glad to be back home. Norm Douglas is no stranger to the stage.
