Police report the incident occurred sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. in the gardens located in Rotary Park. The missing dedication plaque inscribed with "This garden is dedicated in memory of Max MacSween. An inspiration to us all. Acton Horticultural Society-- 2007" was attached to a large rock in the garden. Police searched the park but did not find the plaque. The damage and value of the stolen plaque is estimated at $700.
