Lapointe, 47, completed the 54-hole event held at the Stratford Country Club with a score of four-under-par 212, six shots ahead of runner-up Terrill Samuel from Etobicoke. It's the 11th time since 1995 that the North Halton Golf & Country Club member has won the province's mid-amateur crown.
