12 Acton/Georgetown, Friday, September 7, 2007 Sheridan Nurseries to lease land from Town for pipework The Town of Halton Hills will lease land underneath Prince St. to Sheridan Nurseries to allow for the installation of private irrigation/drainage pipes. The lease term is 21 years less a day. The current location of the pipes are on lands now being developed for houses and in order for Sheridan to continue its nursery business on both sides of the road, the pipes need to be shifted to another location. The current pipes will be abandoned. Sheridan will pay for all costs. Director of Engineering Chris Mills said Sheridan would also repair or pay for repairs should their installation create any problem with the road in the future. Ward 2 Councillor Joan Robson said she wanted to assure Glen residents that this had nothing to do with the subdivision.
