Seems like such a letdown when all the decorations are packed away, all the turkey is gone, and all the relatives have finally gone home. Of course, all those wonderful New Years res- olutions have already been broken. But not to fret! The Centre is once more coming to life. Instructed programs have begun again. If you have delayed, make sure you hasten off to the Front Desk and sign up for a program that suits you. Check them out in your newsletter. On Thursday, Jan. 10, 11 a.m., a gen- tleman from Copper Country Foods will be holding a seminar at the Centre. He will discuss, and, demonstrate their prod- uct of frozen meals prepared and deliv- ered to you. Their brochure looks tempt- ing and I already have my order made out. People who have used their product tell me it is good and nutritious. In order to run an instructed program, 8-10 people are required. It appears that more people are needed to hold the Square Dancing activity. Come on out and join in the fun on Tuesday afternoons. Couples Ballroom Dancing is slated for Thursday evenings between 8 and 9 p.m., to start mid January if enough people are interested. A partner is required. Sign up at the Front Desk. Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire! Where are you? The Seniors Band was quite busy over the holiday season and received many accolades. They have already been booked for some of these venues for next year. Great ambassadors for our Centre. Dart players are invited to come out Thursday afternoons to play. It is a drop- in activity no need to sign up. Drive away the January/ February blahs by joining in Mingle and Chat, Wednesday mornings. Share a cup of cof- fee or some of Teds tea and cookies. Share some of your ideas and opinions or just sit and be quiet if you prefer. Seniors volleyball (50 +) at Harrison School, is going to begin again on Tuesday, January 8. It is non-competitive play.
