Nominations are currently being accepted for the following categories: 1. Entrepreneur of the Year The recipient of this award exhibits excellence in starting and operating their own business, which has been established for 1-3 years, with 10 or less employees. In addi- tion the Entrepreneur of the Year is recognized for displaying good busi- ness ethics, providing superior cus- tomer service and demonstrating innovation and creativity in operat- ing their business. 2. Civic Pride As a recipient of the Civic Pride award this business is recognized for enhancing or maintaining their busi- ness location or initiating environ- mental programs in areas such as waste management, energy conserva- tion etc. and displaying good busi- ness ethics that show pride in our community. 3. Employee of the Year The Employee of the Year is a highly valued individual who has made a significant impact, contribut- ing to the excellence of their compa- ny through exceptional customer service. 4. Business of the Year The long-standing Business of the Year Award is presented to a busi- ness that has made a significant social and economic contribution to the community and displays good business ethics and excels in cus- tomer service. To be selected, the nominee has to meet or excel in the qualifications required in the category for which they were nominated.
