During a search of the property police seized a backhoe that had been stolen from Mississauga, a 53-foot trailer stolen from York Region, an 18-ft enclosed car trailer that had been taken from Oakville and another 18-ft. enclosed car trailer that is also believed to have been stolen. Charged with four counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 is Gerry Amendola, 45, of Ninth Line, Mississauga. Police are looking for a man in connection with a robbery at the Petro Canada gas station at Steeles and Trafalgar Rd. in Hornby early Saturday morning. Police say at 4:53 a.m. a man entered the kiosk and demanded money from the attendant. He indicated he had a weapon, but the clerk didnt see one. The clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the man who fled on foot. The suspect is described as white, 57 to 58, approximately 160 lbs., with a thin build. He was wearing a black toque, dark sunglasses, a black old-style snowmobile jacket trimmed with red and white piping down each sleeve, and a high collar. He was also wearing black pants with a white stripe and black boots. He was last seen running in a south/west direction towards Steeles Ave. E. Police say during the incident a white Hummer pulling a double-axle U-haul car trailer drove into the lot. There were three occupants in the vehicle. Police believe those people may be potential witnesses and ask them to contact police at 905- 878-5511 ext. 2415. Police say the suspect in a robbery at the Esso Gas station at Trafalgar Rd. and Britannia Rd. in Milton 3:55 p.m. Sunday matches the description of the man in the Petro Canada robbery. Police are looking for a man who stole a watch from Brilliant Gold Jewelry in Georgetown Market Place Thursday afternoon. Halton Police report at 4:17 p.m. a man in the store asked to look at watches and a bracelet. He decided on a ladies watch and while the clerk in the store was distracted he left the store with the watch without paying. Stolen was a $2,750 Geneve 14K gold watch. The man is described as white, 59 to 510, stocky, was wearing a jacket and dark long- sleeved shirt. He was also wearing blue jeans, white cowboy boots with a pointed toe, and white belt. Police report someone attempted to force open the front door of a Sixth Line home sometime Thursday evening. The culprit(s) didnt get into the home. A tree branch was thrown through the front window of Lakeview Convenience Store on Main St., Acton Friday evening. Damage is $1,000. A Brampton man is facing a drug charge after police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the Main St. N./Moore Park Cr. area Friday after- noon. Police searched the vehicle and found packages containing 32 grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
