The provincial government recently announced the funding for the 53-unit project sponsored by Residences at St. Andrews Georgetown Corporation, as well as, an allocation of $5.3 million for another affordable new rental housing project in Burlington. Both projects will be built under the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program. Ontario is back in the affordable hous- ing business in a meaningful and signifi- cant way, said Oakville MPP Kevin Flynn. This allocation to Halton will provide safe, affordable housing to the most vulner- able among us, and helps to confirm the values of compassion and caring that make our province such a special place.
