EXCLUSIVELY SERVING THE READERS OF HALTON HILLS Independent & Free Press, Wednesday, February 20, 2008 9 Superior Glove Works in Acton recently passed the halfway mark of converting its entire 15- vehicle fleet to hybrid vehicles. Superior made the commitment to the environmentally-friend- ly hybrid vehicles three years ago and recently purchased their eighth vehicle. Superior GTA account representative Dave Fisher picked up his Toyota Camry at Georgetown Toyota. Four of the eight vehicles are shown with their respective owners, left to right, company president Tony Geng, Ontario sales rep Ted Brown, sales manager Frank MacDonald and Ontario sales rep Dave Fisher. Submitted photo Superior going hybrid Bob Maich was recently re-elected as Chairman of the Halton Regional Police Services Board for 2008, with Rick Burgess being re-elect- ed as Vice-Chairman. The pair served in the same capacities last year. In accepting the opportunity to serve as chair- man, Maich thanked the board members for their support and emphasized the boards ongoing commitment of ensuring the residents of Halton continue to receive a high standard of police ser- vice that is effective and highly respected.
