In front, future stu- dents Matthew Irwin, Mohammad Hassan, Alyson Irwin and Roua Mohammad handled the shovels, while also on hand were (in back, from left) Gurdeep Lall, designated principal of the new school; Wayne Joudrie, Halton District School Board Director of Education; John Duncan (Ward 4 Councillor); Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette, Gillian Tuck Kutarna, HDSB chair and Wards 3-4 Trustee; Bob Inglis, Ward 4 Councillor; and Yaw Obeng, Superintendent of Education, Halton Board of Education. The board is asking residents to help name the school and suggestions will be accepted until March 28. Entry forms and suggestion boxes will be placed in all Halton Hills elementary schools and public libraries. Entries can also be submitted at the school board website www.hdsb.ca, faxed to 905-335-4447, or mailed to the Communications Department, Halton District School Board, 2050 Guelph Line, Burlington, ON, L7R 3Z2.
