J R M L A ? 11 04 08 Acton/Georgetown, Friday, April 11, 2008 9 Halton Police wil l be at Georgetown Market Place tomorrow (Saturday) to collect money for the law enforcement torch run that supports Special Olympics Ontario. Officers wearing Torch Run t-shirts will be collecting money in buckets emblazoned with the Law Enforcement Torch Run logo at the mall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Several Specia l Olympians are a lso expected to be in attendance. Special Olympics is a year-round interna- tional sports training and athletic competi- tion program for children and adults with special needs. The program provides opportunities to develop fitness and participate in the excite- ment of sports events. Halton Pol ice sponsors the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which ra ises money and builds awareness for the Special Olympic program. All money raised in Halton Region stays within the community to support local ath- letes. Cops fundraising for Special Olympics Do you have a great photo, taken in Halton Hills? Then the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce would like to feature it on the 2008/2009 Visitors Guide cover. In order to qualify your picture must be: High resolution (300 dpi) or Hard copy original print. Prints will be scanned and returned. Layout should be portrait. Un-cropped photos preferred. Taken in the Town of Halton Hills within the last two years. Full credit will be given to the winning photo in the Visitors Guide and the winner will receive a framed copy of the 2008/09 Visitors Guide. If your photo contains iden- tifiable individuals they will be required to sign a standard models release form should your photo be selected.
