Mike Rainey won for Best Lighting Design. Darian Mark (Young Cosmo) was nominated for Best Newcomer and Neil Salinas (Cosmo) was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. The Actco Awards are the Oscars of community theatre and Georgetown Globe Musical Productions competes against musicals across southern Ontario. After successful runs of Singin' In the Rain and Ragtime, Globe is now focusing its energy on South Pacific, which opens May 1st at the John Elliott Theatre. The Gallery is a museum-style show- case that highlights new products in household furnishings, electronics, cleaning products, lighting, gardens and outdoor living reflecting innovation in style, function and environmental- ism. Artists work chosen for show This years John Sommer Juried Art Exhibition will take place at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre Gallery, April 9-27. An opening reception will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2-4 p.m. The exhibition is named in honour of longtime resident John Sommer, who has been instrumental in promoting the arts in town for many years.
