Boulevard Garden. This garden is drought, pest and salt resistant, using all native plants. Volunteers are required to help with this project co-ordinated by HOPE. Several teams of Sheridan staffers collect- ed numerous bags of garbage over two days in the area. Photo by Eamonn Maher Approximately 60 students from Centennial Middle School in Georgetown spent an hour last Friday morning cleaning up the school grounds as part of the fourth annual Halton Hills 20-Minute Makeover throughout the town. Centennials CIAO environmental club has had an excellent response to its activi- ties, said Grade 6 teacher Andrea Vogan, who has overseen the EcoSchools initiative there. Thanks to its recycling program, dis- cussions with local conservation groups, Daily Green tips and the cleanup of an area ravine, Cenntennial hopes to be classified as a bronze EcoSchool this year by the provincial government. Joshua even returned a grocery cart (that they had recovered in the pond) to the local Sobeys, much to the surprise and thanks of the manager.
