Expanding a few years later he moved to a location on Main Street. In 1982 the store moved to the plaza that eventually became Georgetown Market Place Mall. Changing the name to Bergsmas Paint & Wallpaper was to reflect the family service that was offered. As the town grew, so did Georges family. George and his late wife Shirley have five children, whom have all been involved in the business at one time or another. The store is now run by sisters Doreen and Yvonne. Bergsmas is celebrating its 40th year of Business in Georgetown. They still offer the same old fashioned, small town service that their father started 40 years ago.
