Capt. Blakesley is currently the Standards Tactical Navigator and instructor at 404 Maritime Patrol and Training Squadron at Greenwood, Nova Scotia. He is qualified as a Maritime Patrol Crew Commander, has more than 6,700 flying hours on the Aurora and Sea King helicopter and has completed 26 years of service. Capt. Blakesley attended George Kennedy Public School and Centennial Middle School in Georgetown and has fond memories of playing hockey in the Georgetown Minor Hockey Association.
