Black Creek Subwatershed Study Community Focus Group Credit Valley Conservation, in partnership with the Region of Halton, Town of Halton Hills and Town of Erin, is conducting an environmental study to understand the health of the Black Creek Subwatershed. We invite interested community members within the study area to take part in the Black Creek Subwatershed Study Focus Group. Understanding the Black Creek Subwatershed Ecosystem In the year ahead, we will be conducting field investigations looking at water quality, fisheries, benthics, stream flows, groundwater, wetlands, forests, plants, birds and amphibians. The findings of these studies will be combined with background information to update and expand our understanding of the Black Creek Subwatershed and to determine the measures required to protect the subwatershed into the future. If you have concerns about the environmental conditions within the study area, or are interested in how the subwatershed will be managed you may want to join the Focus Group to provide advice and ideas. Our first Focus Group meeting is anticipated to take place September 2008. The deadline to apply to join is Friday, August 29th, 2008.
