BELLONE, Francesco (Franco) Peacefully, after a short and extremely coura- geous battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 6th, 2008, in the arms of his beloved wife and soul-mate, Diane Bonnette-Bellone. Franco was a most loving, tender and caring husband. He and Diane lived in Rome, Italy for the past 28 years before returning to Canada to be with family. Francesco was pre-deceased by his mother, Rita Giorgino, his sister Anna Maria and his brother Fillipe. His father, Guglielmo Bellone went missing during the 1963 Algerian war and was presumed dead. Many of Fran- cesco's dearest friends departed with the same illness over the past few years. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Diane and her family, Madeleine and Louis Bonnette, Mayor Richard Bonnette and his wife Josey, Robert Bonnette and his wife Inge, as well as their many treas- ured friends in the United Nations Family, Rome, Italy, world-wide and in Canada with whom he had shared a bond of friendship. Francesco was loved by all children and pets he encountered because of his special touch.
