Acton/Georgetown, Friday, August 29, 2008 25 Georgetown Knights of Columbus will host its 24th annual golf tourna- ment on Monday, Sept. 15 at Granite Ridge Golf Course. The proceeds from this years event will go to Cancer Assistance Ser- vices of Halton Hills. The registration fee of $130 includes 18 holes of golf, dinner and prizes for all. A tax receipt will be issued for a portion of the fee. Individual or foursome entries are welcome. Hole sponsors, $125, are also wanted. Knights of Columbus to host golf tourney Business of the Month Superheroes visit summer camp Cruise raffle to raise funds for Bruce Trail Landscapes by Design was chosen as the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for August. Lisa Tallyn photo The Bruce Trail Conservancy is sell- ing tickets for a chance to win a cruise package. A $5 ticket will give you a chance to cruise from Florida, between September 1 to February 28, anytime in the next two years. Royal LePage salesperson Susan Lougheed donated the cruise package, which is all-inclusive of shipboard activi- ties and meals. Tickets are on sale at Creature Comforts, The Freckled Lion and Hamptons Antiques, all in Downtown Georgetown and at The Thrift Shop in the Moore Park Plaza. The draw will be made at the Bruce Trail Conservancy AGM on Sept. 20. Funds raised from the raffle will help fund Bruce Trail Conservancy activities. The Bruce Trail runs right Halton Hills- help to maintain and preserve this important part of the environment. Summer campers in the Town of Halton Hills Adventure Splash & Fun program at the Gellert Centre dressed up as their favourite superheroes on the final day of their week of activities.
