You especially want your dentures to look good, but it is also important that they fit well. Because of the natural curve in the roof of your mouth (palate) suction is created, therefore holding the upper denture snugly in place. Your tongue can also aid in helping to keep the denture in place. Because of these factors, few people have trouble with stability. The upper denture is usually more visible than the lower, therefore the look of the upper is almost as important as the actual fit. Because the upper denture is so visible, as you are constantly talking, eating, and smiling, it is very important that you have natural, nice-looking teeth. We work hard to make sure that you have teeth that suit you. You dont want them too big, too smalll, too white, too yellow, etc, Just because you wear dentures doesnt mean they have to look like dentures! Todays dentures are more natural looking than ever before. Together we can create a more natural looking you. We make everything from start to finish in our own lab. We build beautiful smiles!! (A) Denturist Georgetown Denture Clinic, 18 Church Street, Georgetown, Ontario 905-877-2359 (Across from the Library and Cultural Centre) Independent & Free Press, Wednesday, September 10, 2008 15 POSSE (Peer Outreach Support Services and Education) is celebrating diversity on Saturday, Sept. 13 and all are invited! The day begins with a 2 p.m. ceremo- ny at Remembrance Park where Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr and other local dignitaries will bring greetings. After the flag raisings and a native smudging cere- mony, there will be a march down Main St. to Cedarvale Park. The musicians featured at Cedarvale (starting at 2:45 p.m.) will be ShureLock Groove (featuring Kevin Freer of Skillshine Dubs), Curtis Maranda and Renee Cross playing world music and rap/hip hop artist Chris Golden. Speakers include Aaron Bell, an Ojibway story- teller; Lauren Boyce, a Georgetown resi- dent speaking on ability; Christopher Stillar, a renowned spiritual medium; and Pardeep Singh Nagra, a diversity and human rights expert. This is a family event, so bring the kids. There will be face painting, a reptile party, and a roaming magician doing bal- loon animals for the kids. Admission is free. The Union Gas BBQ team will sell hot dogs and veggieburgers, and POSSE will be selling pakora and samosa made by Georgetowns Little India restaurant. Community partners will have informa- tion booths and a local henna artist will be doing henna designs. For more details, call POSSE, 519-853-5908. Diversity celebrated with march and music
