League play in the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association begins this week and the junior Rebels enjoyed a fine start with a 61-43 win over the Assumption Crusaders from Burlington. Poulton dropped in 13 points for the winning side and Darling led her team in rebounding. This weekend, GDHS will host its annual junior and senior girls basketball tournament on Friday and Saturday. FOOTBALL: Christ the Kings Jaguars will host Miltons Bishop Reding and the Georgetown Rebels face MM Robinson on Thursday as senior HSSAA gridiron action gets under way.
