Acton/Georgetown, Friday, November 2, 2007 5 A Georgetown man wasnt expecting to get any money from the panel of Canadian busi- ness moguls on CBCs Dragons Den when he showed them the game he invented recently, but he was hoping his appearance on the show would serve as a free commercial. On Mondays edition of the show, Jim Stamp, 59, didnt get any of the moguls to invest in his company and the commercial for his Pony Shoes game didnt amount to much either as most of his presentation ended up on the cutting room floor. Stamp appeared only briefly on the show that gives aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their business concepts and products to the panel of successful businesspeople (the Dragons) who have the cash and know-how to make it happen. The show will re-air on CBC Newsworld Sunday at 8 p.m. He asked for $150,000 from the Dragons for a 40 per cent investment in his business. His game is a scaled-down version of horse- shoes. Its as skilful as horseshoes, but it doesnt take the energy (horseshoes do), and its more suited to a smaller backyard, said Stamp, a former world champion level horseshoe pitch- er.
