Four officers went to the school and short- ly afterward located a male with a pellet-type gun. A police spokesperson said the youth was not displaying the gun, was not threatening anyone with it, and that there was no risk to the student population. Police took the youth into custody briefly at the school, but decided not to charge him and the matter was resolved with the school administration and parents of the youth. A Mississauga man was charged with impaired driving and having over 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood following a single- vehicle accident on Eighth Line near 15 Sideroad at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday. Police were called after the driver attempt- ed to leave the scene of the accident. Police stopped the vehicle. Charged is Piotr Nawakowski, 48, of Kaneff Cr., Mississauga. Police report someone attempted to steal a 2001 Harley Fatboy and 1987 Kawasaki Ninja from an underground parking lot at an apart- ment building on Park Ave. early Thursday morning. The ignitions on the bikes were damaged. Police report someone attempted to steal a vehicle from a Sargent Rd. home sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday. A section of the dashboard was taken. Sometime late Friday or early Saturday three coils of copper wire, valued at $1,500, and 100m of black extension cord worth $500 were stolen from Ethel Gardiner Public School under construction on Danby Rd. in Georgetown. Cash and ammunition were taken from a Hwy. 7 Halton Hills home during a break and enter. A rear door was forced open to gain entry. A TomTom GPS unit valued at $250 was taken from a Robina Ave. Georgetown home sometime late last Tuesday or early Wednesday. Approximately $600 worth of damage was caused when a vehicle left the road on Third Line in Acton Saturday evening or Sunday morning. The vehicle struck a mailbox, a culvert, address pole and left the scene. Police report a wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a Barber Dr. residence sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. on Tuesday. A 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen from a Prince Charles Dr. address Sept. 11 from a carport located at the front of the house. The green 600CC bike is valued at $11,000.
