Curtis, 15, ended up with seven goals through the tournament. Also earning gold medals for Ontario were Derek Thomas of Georgetown and fellow 14-year-old Bulldog team member Scott Laughton from Oakville, who beat Team Iroquois 8-6 to take the championship in Whitby. Laughton led Ontario with nine goals and 12 assists in nine games, while Thomas scored twice and helped set up six others. As well, Darren Raddysh of Georgetown registered six goals and four assists for Team Ontario at the Peewee Lacrosse Championship of Canada, also held in Whitby. Ontario was edged 8-7 by B.C. in the gold medal contest.
