Ask for Casey Theres no doubt about it: smoking pollutes your body and takes years off your life. Cigarettes are very addictive, very expensive and very unpleasant for those around you. If you do smoke and have thought about quitting, prove to yourself you can do it. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but you can live smoke-free if you try. Cool or Clueless? This event on Saturday, Oct. 4, between 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. features the restaurants and food venues that have emerged downtown. Passports are now on sale for $15. Each pass- port will take you into the culinary world of Downtown Georgetown and will include food samples at any five of the participating 12 venues. Sample Indian, Irish, Italian, Thai, Chinese, gourmet and confectionaries, while giving back to the community as net proceeds from this event will go to support the Georgetown Hospital and the Georgetown Bread Basket. When asked Georgetown BIA Chair, Randy Kerman, says of this new event, this is really exciting and I expect this will bring great atten- tion to the variety and quality of food businesses that flourish in Downtown Georgetown. I am hoping this new event brings the same level of success as our other events throughout the year, such as the Festival on Main and the upcoming Masquerade on Main. With 12 different food venues participating, this is a great opportunity to visit many of the venues and tantalize your taste buds. To pur- chase your passport you can call or visit each of the participating venues: 1. A Movable Feast (hosted by Foodstuffs) 2. Canterbury Gourmet Foods 3. Capina Family Eatery 4. Georgetown Thai 5.
