Halton Region, which provides small business resources as part of the Ministrys Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) network, proudly supports Salute to Small Business month by offering our annu- al Bridges to Better Business Mind Your e- Business event. On October 2, keynote speaker Eric Gales, vice- president Midmarket Solutions & Partners at Microsoft Canada, will be on hand to talk about how small businesses across the region can use technology to drive their growth. This event will be held at the Burlington Convention Centre, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $65 per person. Open to students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 who live in Halton, the contest fea- tures a theme of More blue and green for a better planet. Artwork must include a Blue Box and GreenCart, and should showcase a positive environment.
