If youve bought a vehicle at Georgetown Chrysler in the 20 years, you may remember Widdess. He spent 16 of his 23 years of car sales experience at the local dealership, begin- ning back in 1986 when it was known as Georgetown Pontiac. Three years later he became a manager and continued on as general manager until he left in 2004. After spending the last four years working at learning at other dealerships in the region, Widdess says he is happy to be back as general man- ager and running the new Georgetown Chrysler with Ed and Jennifer Lewis. Halton Hills is a really great place to raise a family, Widdess says. The town is expanding, but its still a small- town community. One of his first orders of business as general manager was to look into updating and expanding the Georgetown Chrysler building. Right now, Widdess and his business partners are deciding whether to renovate and add on to the existing building or whether to start from scratch and build a new state-of-the-art facility. Aside from a future facelift, Widdess says you can expect the same great service from the friendly familiar faces at the dealership. Having worked at Georgetown Chrysler for many years, Widdess knows many of the salespeople and was even involved in hiring and training some of them. Chemistry has always been important at this dealer- ship, he says. Youre only as good as your people and were giving our staff all the training and mentoring we can. Widdess says the community can expect to see a lot more from the new Georgetown Chrysler in the future. He wants to get involved with local service groups and charitable orga- nizations to help them with their fundraising, whether by donating money or by sponsoring events. The people have been good to our business, so we want to give something back, he says. Widdess says he is looking forward to meeting the new Georgetown Chrysler customers and providing them with the highest level of service possible. The people of Halton Hills are very loyal to local busi- nesses, he says. If you put out a good product and stand by it, theyll stand by you. Thats what we hope to do.
