If you can help, please drop off at any of the grocery stores: canned pasta, canned meat, canned vegeta- bles and fruit, rice, jam, pasta sauce/ tomato sauce, canned tomatoes, cereal, instant coffee, dry soup, cookies, baking goods, canned juice, large jars of peanut butter. Any items can be placed in the food bank bins at any of the grocery stores and food bank volunteers will pick up. Saturday, Oct. 25 Annual bazaar: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church. Come for a soup and sandwich lunch, crafts, baking, frozen food, candy, Christmas gift suggestions, mincemeat, and more. Fall bazaar: Boston Presbyterian Church, Third Line, north of Five Sideroad, Halton Hills, holds its annual fall bazaar, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Home baking, deli, crafts, knitting and a silent auction. Lunch costs $5 for soup or chili, tea, biscuits, squares and beverage. Oktoberfest dinner: St. Johns United Church is inviting the whole community to their second annual Oktoberfest evening fea- turing a delicious home-cooked three-course German dinner. Prizes for best costume and best beer stein. Appetizers will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 each (cash bar) and are available at 877-2531. Costume rental: Georgetown Little Theatre will be opening its Studio, 33 Stewarttown Rd., and its vast treasure chest of costumes to the public as part of their annual Halloween Costume Rental program. Princesses and wizards and cowboys and ghouls are just some of the costumes on hand. Costume rentals cost: $20. Rental dates are: Saturday, Oct 25, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct 29, 7-9 p.m.; and Thursday, Oct 30, 7-9 p.m. All costumes must be returned in original condition no later than November 3. All proceeds help support GLTs theatrical efforts. Texas HoldEm: The Optimist Club of Georgetown hosts a Texas HoldEm fundraiser.
