J R M L A ? 24 10 08 Acton/Georgetown, Friday, October 24, 2008 5 Halton Police report a 2000 Chrysler Intrepid that had been stolen from Brampton was found fully engulfed in flames on the dead end section of Eighth Line south of Steeles Ave. Tuesday evening. The car, valued at about $5,000, was destroyed in the fire. A tailgate and hinges valued at $800 were stolen sometime Monday or Tuesday from a rental pickup truck parked at a John St. home. Police report cash and docu- ments were taken from a shop at Brooks Farm Service on Fifth Line during a break-in there sometime late Tuesday or early Wednesday. Entry was gained after a window was broken in a door. Service awards were recently presented to deserving leaders in the summer camp program at the Town of Halton Hills Youth Volunteer Appreciation Night at John Elliott Theatre. Service award recipients were joined by Town Director of Recreation Terry Alyman and Mayor Rick Bonnette.
