Rockwood Trail Riders Hold endurance ride By Jennifer Birr Warm sunny weather and 30 miles of good rail produced many hoppy smiles at the Trail Riders annual endurance ride held July Ihe Haiton Pres bytery church grounds on the Blue Springs Lino More than horses from all over Ontario were entered for the exciting event will riders expecting to travel the miles in Just over four hours The contest is not a Tote but a timed trail ride where conditioning of the hone is the primary factor A veterinary team led by Dr Mary Bell Rock wood Equine Clinic checked to the ride and recorded pulse and res These were also checked at stop halfway through the ride and horses were constantly observed tho vets throughout All but one All but one horse completed the course after which horses were cheeked
