great deal of coordination and cooperation and I assure our committee has been working for many months in making these preparations The farm land that will be used for this plowing match is located the former Township of which is now part of the new Town of Hills This area has some of the finest and richest agriculture land to be found in the Province or Ontario The host fanner Mr Craig Held and his neighbors have generously made this available to use for the match It so hap- that some of tha land that will be used this match was farmed by my father and grandfather back in the late IBM and far a few years after the turn of the century Ladies and gentlemen the honor given to County in hosting this match is something wc should all be proud of but along with the pride that accompanies an event such as this comes a great deal of responsibility Responsibility to know and to realize that the International Plowing Match more for s agriculture community than anything that has hap pened in this area Responsibility in knowing that public attention will be fa used on us from all across Canada and the United States of these responsibilities I see as a great opportunity for us In to put our
