a teacher The two families will also trade homes for the year The program is put on by the Ontario government and anyone is welcome to apply Mr McCulloch did so and was accepted making him among the the neighbors clothes have to be packed and Christmas has to be cele b rated Their two sons will be coming from Vancouver and Calgary to celebrate the festive season with their parents This will be held a week early to avoid a last minute rush Mr and Mrs will be returning home on December 1977 with lots of stories to tell their family and friends They will have the chance to experience what most start de clining In a report to the board this week Director of Education Em Lavender said high school enrolment in the north will swell from 3 979 pupils in 1976 to 105 In Growth levels even after taking in the potential enrolment lost to the new separate school In Acton the board expects pupil registration to grow in North Halton Board projections call for will continue with a high school registration of In and in and then taper off to 178 in 1980 and in Across the entire region this year s high school enrol ment of 424 pupils will jump to 457 next year and then de cline to 5 students in 1981 At the elementary school this year enrolment 7 to to up to 7 968 in 1977 8 the next year 373 in 1979 the following year and in 1981 It a different story across region with a steady de cline expected at the mtntary level until the end of 1979 Projected enrolment will drop from this year to a low of 8 496 in 1979 before climbing back up to in and in 1J31 Lavender said he would be presenting a more detailed report on elementary and high school enrolment pro jections in North Halton next month He said the board expects there will be a continued shift in Halton from the heavily populated urban areas to suburban areas across the re gion and less occupancy of new homes Factors in future enrolment will include the opening of first separate high school next year and Acton first separate school in Sept ember He said the separate high school would create a drop in high school enrolment in the south but this would be compensated with growth in the north especially in Milton and
