identification of more causes of cancer in our environ ment This in turn will make it possible for greater prevention of the disease While research will probably make important contributions to the control of cancer in the future there is research being carried out which has a more immediate con tnbution to the welfare of cancer patients This mvolves the testing of new surgical and radiotherapy
