reported in this paper last week teachers and the board reached a compromise agreement on their dispute over a board plan to strip a large number of teachers of their title and extra pay as department heads minor heads and assistant heads and replace them with a much smaller number of school leaders to be called chairmen Director of Education Em Lavender announced the compromise at Thursday Board of Education meeting Trustees approved the plan The long simmering dispute boiled over in December when Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation placed an em against the board barring its members
