the Halton Hills tennis tournament PETER MARKS gets ready to smash the ball as his partner Berme Kent looks on The pair won the mens doubles Junior tennis finals finish on weekend Unseeded Rene March of Ballinafad surprised every body by winning the men singles championship and Pauline Kent played remark ably consistent tennis to win every event she entered In the second annual Hills Tennis Association Tourna which concluded on the weekend The big story of the day tourney however was an unfortunate Injury to veteran Gerry Peace Saturday which prevented him from defending his mens singles crown and also cost him and partner Tom a crack at their second straight men doubles title Peace and Brotherton led l in the third set of a tough semi final match against Adams and Sid Harris when something snapped in Peace leg as he was running towards the net Gerry first thought he had a cramp but the Injury was later diagnosed as a pulled tendon which forced him out of the tournament Adams and Harris who won the first set 76 on a tie breaker but dropped the second ad vanced to the finals The injury not only sent Glen plans Sept tourney The Glen Williams mens fastball team is planning a
