their good work St Josephs J Joanne Allison anil Roger Road Last Thursday we held a Remembrance Day assembly to help everyone lo under stand the meaning of this holiday and to remember the soldiers who died in the war forus It was organized by the grade and class with the help of Mr Bnggs The assembly turned out a great success Thanks to the Canadian Legion we were able to sell popples in our school Kevin went around to all the classrooms selling them and we made a great deal of money for Ihe disabled men and women who made them On Thursday our volleyball team went to the Holy Cross school in Georgetown They put forth a good effort but By Carole and Chris gin ski Our students council had an assembly that was held on Thursday November 10 At our assembly our guest speaker was Mr Pat unfortunately lost all their games Starting today Nov our volleyball teams ore having a round robin tournament every Wednesday and Thursday for three weeks The teams being played are as follows Holy Cross school from Georgetown Holy Rosary from Milton Si Michael from and St Joseph from Acton We are guaranteed nine games and if we get in the finals about three more Last Thursday night we had an Open House at our school It was for any parents who had missed the Official Opening It was also a time lo meet the teachers Monday night we had parent teacher interviews where the parents talked to the teacher about their child s academic work In the house leagues ihe girls are starting Volleyball and the boys ore starting volleyball Over students and some of their teachers from Ontario high schools will be spending Friday on the University of Waterloo campus as guests of I- acuity of Science Fifteen people from Acton high school will be taking Other schools and student parlicipating are
